Still integrated in the earlier mentioned initiative Omasi, there was an intention to create office premises with a highly informative character on the farm ROTIANA, where it is mainly based. It should accommodate the practicalities of a running company (HR, administration, finance) but also inspire for communication and sharing. With enough free space with flexible working spaces (a reasonable new concept in Tanzania), a generous conference room, and diverse exterior and semi exterior meeting spots it promotes the core of a social business model. The sustainability of this business is only assured through participation, interpretation and entrepreneurship.

But to make a free-space work, in order to make it accomplish innovative and creative solutions, it is important to create a framework. As a foundation based investment, a vision is vital for achievements.

This vision is embodied in certain details of this building. Besides the use of fresh colors and lighting strategies, some iconic interpretations were introduced. The main structure of laminated local hardwood poles was raised from the floor level through recycle ‘H’ beams (from earlier factory buildings). This evokes the underlying thought of the initiative, namely its believe in the industrial processes carefully adapted to rural potential, in order to find balance between natural conservancy and economical empowerment.

In addition the braces that support the large roof area create a rhythmic and vibrant space and help with the suggestion of a tree like silhouette (the logo of the company).
